Olúwo Fáyẹmí Fátúndé Fákáyọ̀dé, Ph.D

Dr. F. F. Fakayode (Mọ́gàjí Oníbùdó) was born on 16th October, 1974 at Oderinu House [now Baale Palace], Kaa Compound, Old Oyo Road, Alade Town, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. His father is late Chief Oyewusi Amoo Fakayode, who was once the Araba/Olu-Isese of Ibadanland as well as the Baale of Alade Town, Ibadan until his death in 2019.


He attended Islamic Mission Primary School, Moniya, Ibadan [1980-1986]. He attended Aponmode/Moniya High School, Moniya, Ibadan[1987-1992].
Dr. Fakayode attended Adeyemi Colledge of Education, Ondo State, where he studied History/Yoruba and obtained Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) (1996-1998) and obtained his Bachelor of Art in Education, (B.A.(ED)) Yoruba Language (1999-2003). He received Federal Government Scholarship in 2001 and the College Prize for being the graduating student with the best overall performance in the B.A./B.Sc. Education Degree Examination in the school of Languages for 2002/2003 Session. During his school days, he served the chapter of Federation of Ibadan Students' Union (FIBSU) as the Public Relations Officer (PRO), General Secretary and President in 1998, 2001 and 2002 respectively. Dr. Fakayode was the President (Aare) for Egbe Akekoo Ijinle Ede Yoruba, ACE, Ondo, in 2001.
Immediately after his National Youth Service Corps' [NYSC] programme, he started teaching in private schools in Lagos State before he finally returned to Ibadan in 2007.

In 2009, he established Ejiodi Home of Tradition – a Cultural Consultant Company, for publications, training, tourism and research on Yoruba Religion, Culture and Tradition. He also founded Olodumare's Temple of Light International (Ijo Imole Olodumare Agbaye) in Alade, Ibadan in 2009.

He was a member of Oyo State Inter Religious/Ethnic Committee (2014-2019) under the Chairmanship of His Excellency, Senator Abiola Ajimobi. Also, he was the Chairman, Oyo State School Governing Board (SGB) of Community Grammar School (Senior), Sasa, Ibadan (2017-2021).

Dr. Fakayode bagged 
a Master of Arts (M.A) Degree in Yoruba Language and Literature and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Yoruba Literature from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2016 and 2019, respectively.

Books written by him include – Osun the Manly Woman [2004] and Iwure- Efficacious Prayer to Olodumare, the Supreme Force (2011).

He is a member of the Board of Directors of Multivest Microfinance Bank, Ojoo, Ibadan (2020 till date).

Also, he is the General Secretary of the Traditional Religion Worshippers’ Association of Oyo State.

For his contributions to society, he has received chieftaincy titles and many meritorious awards including Eminence Peace Ambassador by the International Association of World Peace Advocates

Dr. Fakayode was installed as Mogaji of Onibudo Royal Family of Ibadan by His Imperial Majesty, Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Akanmu Olasupo Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso I on Monday, 5th October, 2020.

 

He is a member of the International Association of World Peace Advocates.

 

He is the incumbent President of the International Council for Ifa Religion.

Dr. Fakayode is an independent researcher, an author,  a cultural consultant of international repute and married with children.
