Ifa of The Year 2014/2015
IFA OF THE YEAR 2014/2015 FROM THE PRIESTS ON THE MAT INSIDE THE TEMPLE ON THE HILL OF ITASE AT OKE-ITASE, ILE-IFE ON SUNDAY 08/06/14 BETWEEN 12:00AM AND 1:30AM
ODIOGBE
The odu of the year 2014/2015 is Odiogbe. It came with “ayewo” Ija meaning “fight”. Ifa has recommended sacrifice to Iyami as Aladimu with a big rat and palm oil
1. Ifa has advised us to be contented with the present situation and be prayerful. Ifa says with patience and sacrifice, all will be elevated even more than expectation. Ifa says many people will travel out of their towns this year and Ifa has advised the emigrants to make ebo and promised that they will return home with fortunes. Also there will be more cars belonging to Ifa/Orisa devotees on the road.
The items to sacrifice are 4 pigeons, gin, honey and money. On this, Ifa says:
Idin gbe mi
Idin so mi
Orisa gbeni latete o jori esin lo
A difafun Makanjuola
Omo Elerin Saaje

The essence of one’s prayer to Orisa to be rich is to possess a horse
Ifa revelation to Makanjuola
A child of the King of Erin Sajeje
He consulted Ifa to return home with fortunes
Here comes Makanjuola
You are really a child of King Elerin
All riches are now that of the child of King Elerin.
2. All the Ifa/Orisa devotees need to be more hygienic; we should always sweep the floor of our houses and the temples. Each person needs to appease Ifa with a goat and the goat soup should be taken with corn meal. The husbands should desist from poke-nosing into the business or works of their wives as well as desisting from asking the wives about their profits and how they spend it. People should be less inquisitive to prevent being blind. And polygamous husbands should not love one of the wives more than others. We also need to appease Osun.
On this Ifa says:

We have found “Eyes”
We have found “Aaye”
We have found all our lost items
The story:
When Aaye, the wife of Olofin was going to sell corn meal in the market, Olofin removed his eye balls and put them at the bottom of the basket. Orunmila was told to appease his Ifa with a goat and corn meal. His servant got to the market and bought the corn meal together with the basket. When the wife got home; Olofin told him his eyes were inside the basket to watch whatever happened in the market as usual. The wife ran out to look for the buyer. After the appeasement, they all ate the corn meal in the house of Orunmila. Osun the wife packed all the leaves used to wrap the corn meal and put them inside the basket to dump. As she got to the dumping ground, pouring down the content of the basket, she found two eyes and took them home to give to Orunmila. Olofin had become blind and the wife had run away. Olofin sent for Orunmila for consultation. When Orunmila wanted to be going, he met Aaye who was also going to Orunmila to consult Ifa. She explained what happened to Orunmila and they both went to Olofin and the latter was very happy for he has found both the eyes and the wife.
3. In Idingbe, Ifa says there are chaoses in the world. There are attackers. The solution to this is to make sacrifice and call upon Ifa. The items to sacrifice are a he-goat, 3 cocks, 3 big rats and 3 buckets of water. After making the ebo, the water will be poured on the ground where it will flow to Esu. With the ebo, Ifa has promised people victory and long life. On this, Ifa says:

5. Ifa says he will help us send away the enemies. The arch enemy or the head of the enemies will run away to an unknown place after making the ebo. The items to sacrifice include a he-goat, 7 arrows, pap, palm oil and money.

Obatala also assured Orunmila of long life and made rituals for him. After a year, Obatala had a child and Orunmila did not die. Obatala thought of going to Orunmila to show gratitude and vice versa. They met half way and they started singing to praise Ikin.
11. Ifa says the practitioners of Ifa/Orisa Religion will increase in wealth and population this year. Besides the fact that we will gain many converts from other religions, Ifa also advises we practitioners not to do abortion or use any pregnancy preventive medication. We should not hinder any form of procreation this year. Sacrifice is needed with 4 rats, 4 fish, 4 hens, gin, kola nuts and money. After making the sacrifice, Ifa will be appeased.

16. Ifa says we should refrain from saying anything that is different from what Ifa says whenever we are dealing with clients or in our day to day activities generally. Also, we should not revenge. In other words, there is need for us to forgive anybody who might have offended us in one way or the other to prevent crisis. On this Ifa says:

17. Sango and Oya will assist us this year. Many people will put Ifa priests into test. With the proper ebo and appeasement of Sango, the people will be disgraced and therefore praise the priests. A ram will be used to appease Sango. Ifa says the god children should be grateful to their Oluwo and always come to the assistance of the Oluwo. On this, Ifa says:

Olofin was not happy when he heard that they called Orunmila the perfect one. He invited Orunmila and threatened that he would behead him if he failed to do something magical. He wanted him to move the tree in the market to the front of the palace within seven days. Orunmila was thinking of his death when Sango and Oya came. He explained his ordeal to Oya and Sango who assisted him by using their power to move the tree from the market to the palace. Then Olofin bowed for Orunmila and agreed that Orunmila is indeed a perfect man
18. Ifa says people should refrain from snatching another person’s wife or follower to prevent crisis. Also, to allow peace and to have rest of mind those whose property, wives husbands or followers were snatched need to forgive the snatchers. The items of sacrifice here include 8 snails, Mellon, pounded yam, shear butter and money. After the ebo, Obatala will be appeased. On this, Ifa says:

19. To ward off evil, there is need to make ebo after which Sigidi (clayed statues) will be made with kola nuts in their mouths. Each Sigidi will be put at each entrance of the house, city or state. On this, Ifa says:

21. Ifa says we should not use force to solve any problem. People should think twice before promising to assist anybody or asking for assistance. This is because, the assistance if the approach is harsh can add more to the problem. We need to expose our body more to rain or any source of water than sun and fire. One must bath at least once if not more every day. People need to be cautious so that they will not be bankrupt. And those who are under financial ordeal have to make ebo to be free. The items to sacrifice include 8 snails, 8 pigeons, honey, gin water and money. On this, Ifa says:

We have got koro leaves
Ope let our life be cool and peaceful
We have got koro leaves
Here is my snail with cool life
Ifa, let my body be cool and peaceful
Let my life be cool and peaceful
According to the above verse, we must always make clean our shrines and temples. And if we have palm tree beside the house, the tree should be made free of dry leaves and other things that might be disturbing it.
22. There is strong warning against lying. People should refrain from promising what they are not capable of doing. The Ifa priests should always let their clients know if a task is difficult or not possible at all. They should not lie because of money.
Idingbe said we should always be bold to expose the evil doers of any sort. Ifa has promises people of protection and victory over people who after being exposed want to wage war against the people who expose them.
Many people who married women who are older than them are planning to divorce or abandon them. Ifa has warned them against that. Many women who have been searching for the fathers of their children will find them this year and the children will know their fathers. On this, Ifa says:

They said the hunch back will be healed
They said the albino will become black
They said the cripple will walk
Orunmila said it was all lies
They wanted to kill Orunmila
They invited Orunmila to appease Ogun
They all wore white cloth
They tied Moriwo round Orunmila
They were singing “it is when we get to Ogun shrine that we do the rituals”
Orunmila said;
Agbe take me home
Aluko take me home
Odidere does not die abroad
I have got free of the trap of devils
Obibo!
I have got free of the trap of enemies
Story:
When Orunmila escaped, they pursued him. A woman who was washing cloth at the bank of a river covered him up until they went away. She later begged Orunmila to make love with her for she is old, barren and single. Orunmila did so and go away. However, he told the woman that he came from Oke Itase. The woman conceived and when she gave birth, she could not get Orunmila. When the child grew up, the mother and the child traced Orunmila to Oke-Itase and they found him.

Ifa says some people are casting spell on we Ifa/Orisa followers. Ifa says their curse will not have any effect on us. We need to appease make ebo with a knife, sand of the soil, a mortar, 3 cocks, kola nuts, palm oil and money. After the ebo, there will be an akose with soap. On this, Ifa says:
Otun awo won lode Aba
Osi awo won lode Ase
A difa fun Masewele
Abori depenu
Ebo ni won ni ko se
O gbebo o rubo
Masewele de!
Abori depenu
E ba degun depe lawo lori
Ko le ja
Masewele de!
Abori depe nu
Otun is the awo in the city of Aba
Osi is the Awo in the city of Ase
They cast Ifa for Masewele
One with the head that repels curses
He was advised to make ebo
He complied
Here comes Masewele
One with the head that repels curses
